Born Elosie DuBoise in Plant City, she was a lifelong resident of the area. Graduate of Coker University. She was a teacher for the Hillsborough County School District for 38 years, a member of First Baptist Church of Plant City, Mary Martha Sunday School Class, Springhead Civic Club, Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority, East Hillsborough County Historical Society, and a former member of Plant City Art Club and Plant City Women’s Club.
